CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English
This exam tests understanding and use of the English language. Candidates must be capable of fluency in any situation.
It is the most difficult of the five Cambridge examinations.
The Cambridge examinations measure the candidate’s general English capacities. The exam is recognized by most international employers. Once completed, this exam provides evidence of C2 language level (Advanced / master) of the European Council.

Course description
The CAE includes 5 tests:
The oral and written tests do not take place the same day.
- Written comprehension (1hour and 30 minutes)
- Written expression (2 hours)
- Mastery of English (1hour and 30 minutes)
- Oral comprehension (40 minutes)
- Oral expression (20 minutes)

- Duration: 2 days (5 hours and 30 minutes on the first day, and 15 minutes on the second day)
