Capoeira Classes :
One hour class, twice a week in the afternoonCapoeira is much more than just Brazilian martial arts and dance. It is a sport, a ritual, a dance, a musical expresssion, a martial art and a philosophy. It is a cultural tradition and a way of life.
Capoeira was invented by African slaves in Brazil over 450 years ago. When they came to Brazil, they brought with them their culture, and many of practiced other types of African martial arts inspired by their homeland.
Those martial arts practiced by the African slaves had an enormous influence on the development of Capoeira.
