Study abroad

Granada is a city loaded with history. It is a picturesque city ideally set at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and just 45 minutes from the Costa Tropical. It’s a great place for young people to discover many of the highlights of Spanish culture, from incredible remnants of the past like the Royal Chapel and stunning Alhambra, to signature traditions like flamenco and tapas. Granada's moderate size makes it an exciting yet manageable city for students to explore.

Course description

The Granada Junior Program differs from other summer camps in that students live and study on two separate campuses. Accommodations are in an Enforex residence or with a host family. The school is located less than 20 minutes from the living accommodations.

Pedagogy

All the teachers are trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, and have the highest degrees in their area of specialization.
The teaching staff is composed of 95% Spanish people who have an advanced level of English. Among them, at least one staff member speaks English fluently, allowing for easier communication between the parents and staff.

Activities

The center organizes an activities program for the afternoons and evening as well as excursions during the weekends. Sample activities include evening cinema outings, trips to the archeological museum, sports events outings, a visit to Granada and Andalousa, a Flamenco show, beaches and many more possibilities.

The center includes a computer room, TV room, laundry and athletic facilities.

Our advice

For young non-native speakers only (no Spanish people). Student are supervised about 75% of the time, so they have some free, unaccompanied time.

The Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools for Foreigners is an organization that guarantees the quality of the Spanish courses for foreigners.
FEDELE is in regular contact with Cervantes Institute, the Ministries of Education and Culture, the Spanish Tourism Institute and the Institute for Foreign Trade.

CEELE
CEELE is a Certificate of Quality in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language (Certificado de Calidad en la Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera), granted by the Spanish Department of University of Alcalá de Henares and the Association of Spanish Economic Resources.
The schools that request this qualification are submitted to an inspection that evaluates 11 different aspects of Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language. The inspection is repeated every 2 years.
