Courses

Before class on your first day, you will be given a grammar, writing and speaking test to put you into the correct class. We have at least 5 different levels of class, so you know you will be working with students of a similar language proficiency to your own. You will work with our own specially-developed material which is designed to present real American English in motivating New York and US-themed lessons.
All of our teachers are Cambridge certified and they are selected for their enthusiasm and experience supervising enjoyable and educational summer camps. Your lessons will cover all of the language skills, but we will focus most on speaking and listening, vocabulary and pronunciation. All classes have a maximum of 15 students and a variety of nationalities. Last year we had 15 nationalities on our summer camp and nearly half of our students came alone or with one friend, so there’s lots of opportunities to meet new and interesting people from all corners of the globe. On your last day, you’ll be presented with a certificate and leave with an address book full of new friends.

Social Program

New York has something for everyone. Our excursions will take you to world famous sites such as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. We will go up the Rockefeller Center at night to see Manhattan under the stars. We will visit globally renowned cultural sites including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Metropolitan Museum and the American Museum of Natural History with its fabulous 3D planetarium.
We’ll go on entertaining, informative tours of several famous neighborhoods, including Chelsea and Greenwich Village, Union Square and the skyscrapers of Midtown. Our enthusiastic guides and varied activities on each trip make every day different and a great way to see the city from the inside. Every corner you turn, you’ll see sites from the TV and movies brought to life. You’ll recognize Carrie’s apartment from ‘Sex in the City’ and Monica’s place from ‘Friends’. You’ll see John Lennon’s old house and the place where Bob Dylan played his first concert as well as the sites that inspired singers from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys to Frank Sinatra. You’ll look down on the Hudson from New York’s coolest new park – the Highline, built on an elevated train track. If you are a fashionista, then there is Abercrombie and the shops of 5th Avenue as well as the boutiques of Soho to grab your attention. For the more technically minded, don’t miss the Apple Store (believe it or not, New York’s most photographed sight!) In addition, you’ll never get enough of the bright lights of Times Square or the majesty of the Brooklyn Bridge.
