Family Course
Accademia italiana-Italian Language and Culture Centre

The Family Program is designed for parents with children (7 to 16 years) who want to combine a holiday in Italy with the study of the Italian language while experiencing the culture of the South-Italy.
The program teaches both parents and/or children (minimum age 6 for tuition). Language lessons are held in the morning, with a whole range of cultural activities and excursions in the afternoons and at weekends.
This program combines language lessons, activities and excursions and includes Parents Course and Children Course.
Courses : 9:00 - 12:30
Parents activities:
- 1 Salerno city tour
- 1 half day excursion :
Example : Paestum (Greek Temples and Archeological Area); Vietri and Raito (Capitals of Ceramics); Amalfi; Arechi Medieval Castle; Minerva Gardens; Mozzarella di Bufala factory visit and tasting.
- 1 seminar on Italian culture :
Example :
Italian Cooking; Italian Cinema; Italian Songs; Neapolitan Song; Idioms and Sayings; Traditionsof Campania; History of Salerno; “Scuola Medica Salernitana” ; Myths and Legends of Campania;Vietri Ceramics and Pottery; Italian Gestures; Italian wines.
- 2 language or cultural activities at school

2 language activities: learning games.
Example :
“Tandem with Italian children” (conversation lesson); Cartoons afternoon; Welcome party; Italian songs and karaoke; Language games (tic, tac, toe; crosswords; goose game,etc.);
This program runs on fixed dates.
Different kinds of accommodation are available on request (host-families; hotels at special rates).
Baby-sitting and Kindergarten for kids (0-6) are available on request.
