FCE Preparation Course - First Certificate in English (Cardiff in Wales)

The FCE indicates level of English proficency and practical use in clerical, secretarial and managerial jobs in many industries, particularly tourism, where contact with English speakers is required. Successful candidates must have the ability to handle routine letters and telephone inquiries.
After passing the exam, you will receive a certificate awarded by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. This certificate is recognized by universities and employers throughout the world.

Your progress will be assessed by means of weekly tests, a mid-term test and end-of-term test. In addition to this, you will be encouraged to keep a journal and complete portfolio work.
Cambridge examination fees are not included in the course fees.

There is no single sex accommodation in standard residential accommodation. A refundable residence deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. This will be refunded upon check out.

These contemporary apartments are for students aged 30+ They offer students the opportunity to live with their friends in a self-contained cluster flat whilst still enjoying the common room facilities available to all students. Each room is fully furnished with:

  • Storage drawers
  • Desk with desk chair
  • Wired broadband in all bedrooms and wireless Internet throughout the whole building
