Your level of English must be sufficient to be able to follow the art courses: here there are no traditional language courses.
You'll practise your English every day and learn as you study art.
Through a range of practical projects in different arts subjects you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas, enhance your creative skills and knowledge whilst building a body of work for your portfolio. You will be guided through a variety of creative approaches and processes including practical exercises in the areas of art, design, illustration, photography and fashion.

Mon-Fri 09.00-17.00 (includes Saturday 10 August 10.00-16.00)
Total taught hours: 75 ( for 2 week programme)
On this course you’ll cover:
— How to use writing to communicate your ideas
— How to use, and be inspired by, other art to understand who you are and where you fit in
— Reflection on your most important visual experiences
— Core drawing skills to understand memory/observation/dreams in relation to your most important visual experiences
— Making skills to gain control and confidence
— Acrylic paint in relation to colour theory
— Drawing and modelling from the figure/motif in two and three dimensions
— Traditional materials in order to make something contemporary
— Contemporary materials (audio, digital, performance)
— Transformation and how to transcend craft and decorative qualities into something that tries to ask a question of yourself and the wider world
