By combining the Bucksmore Summer syllabus with specialist workshops, students are introduced to both Science & Technology subjects through workshops run by experts. Example weekly themes include aeronautics, robotics, engineering and forensics.

Cultural experience
Every Bucksmore Education programme offering is carefully designed to provide fun and educational excursions that allow students to further their studies outside of the classroom. Whether this may be a ride on the London Eye taking in the spectacular sights of Central London, a private tour of Oxford University, or a coordinated sports session on site, our social programme will engage and absorb students into British culture and heritage, guarantee long-lasting friendships and offer plentiful opportunities for students to improve their English in real-life settings. The excursions will promote communication skills for the students, testing their English language skills with each other and with members of the public.

Ages: 10–13 & 13–16
This course combines the Bucksmore English syllabus with specialised workshops.
Each week, students will have English tuition with the wider programme totalling 15 hours.
For 3 sessions a week totalling 7.5 hours, students will split away from the main group and take part in their specalised workshops.
The programme is for students who want to explore their passion for Science, Technology, Engineering
and Maths subject areas, via fun, educational and practical workshops run by experts, designed to stimulate their interest long term. The themes of the workshops can include: architecture, space, maths and design, forensic science and robotics.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
• 15 hours of English tuition per week
• 7.5 hours of STEM options
• Maximum class size of 11 students for all English classes
• Fully-equipped modern computer lab
• 2 full-day excursions and 1 half-day excursion per week
• Full afternoon and evening activity programme on non-excursion days.

Our boarding houses – Ainsworth House and Turing . House – are warm, welcoming spaces that offer both . personal privacy and a strong feeling of community. The charming, single occupancy dorm rooms, . separated by gender on each floor, are equipped with . an ensuite bathroom, a single bed, desk, storage space, . lockable safe and wardrobe. Towels and bedding are provided, with regular housekeeping services. Laundry is free and available on-site. Once a week, students must load and empty laundry machines . themselves (with staff guidance). Laundry detergent will be . provided by Bucksmore
