This unique aspect of our Explorer courses ensures they are consistently motivating and engaging, and students often return year after year.
The weekly program includes:
- 15 hours english lessons
English lessons include projects which are designed around the school’s weekly theme. Small groups of students work together on their projects focusing on each child’s language knowledge and
skills development. - 9 hours Educational activities
Our educational activites give students an opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, with a choice of active, creative and academic options available at each school. Students have multiple sessions in each activity, allowing them to build confidence and practise specific language.
Each activity is delivered by experienced activity leaders with a variety of backgrounds, from keen sports people to professional actors.
4.5 hours x 2 activities (total 9 hours) on a oneweek course. - 9 hours Academies* (summer only)
Academies give students the chance to specialise in one particular area of interest. Delivered
by professionals with many years of industry experience, students practise their English while
focused on learning or developing their chosen skill. Academy options are booked in advance and are available at all Bell schools.
9 hours of 1 focused Academy on a one-week course. 18 hours on a two-week course. - Academies are available at an additional cost

Students enjoy 1 full-day study tours to historic Uk destinations such as London, Oxford, Cambridge and Stratford-upon-Avon - End of course Exam

Curfew
Lights are switched off between 22:30 and 23:00. Students are not allowed outside the school site without supervision.
Safety & support
Your child will have a dedicated support team looking after them on our secure residential location, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We take great pride in our student:staff ratio of 6:1 for students aged 11-17 years (5:1 for juniors aged 7-10). Anyone working on a Bell young learner course must pass safeguarding checks including ISA Children’s Barred List clearance, a criminal record check and supply full references covering the last five years.

The next season rates would be effective from the 1st of October
We recommend that your child brings about £90 a week pocket money either in cash or travellers cheques.
A £30 refundable deposit to cover keys and damages is also taken from students at the start of the course.
Please make sure the money you send covers both pocket money and the deposit.
