The CILS is a test designed for non-native Italian speakers.
The CILS qualification represents one of the many Italian Language Examinations, taken based on the academic needs of the candidate.
The CILS is conducted by Siena University for foreigners and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The CILS is recognized by employers and universities in Italy.
There are four levels of the CILS.
This certificate is valid for one year after taking the exam.

Course description

Every level includes tests in 5 sections: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, analyses of communicational structures, written exercises and oral exercises.

It is necessary to obtain at least an average level score on each test in order to pass. In case you do not pass the test, it is possible to take the test until you pass.
