French for Adults 50+ in language school
These are study abroad programs which help you stay young at heart! These programs are specially conceived for the 50+ student who wants to study a language and to discover a new culture and country at the same time.
This program allows participants to combine learning a language with discovering a new region, country, culture, or heritage.
Program participants are usually adults over 50 who want to spend time with people who are of a similar age, and who have common interests.

Lessons:
Morning lessons are devoted to topics of cultural activity, which are then offered in the afternoon. Language skills will be improved through the use of plays, debates, and various media-related documents such as newspapers, videos, etc.
This is a highly practical approach to the learning the French language, as students will be able to, and are encouraged to develop communication and comprehension abilities. This course will ensure that every participant reaches their goals in learning French and gains independence in using and understanding the language.
Activities
There will be excursions by bus or train accompanied by a teacher or social director (not valid for the first Sunday or the second Friday of each month)
- There will be visits to French towns and villages where walking will be minimal and accompanied by several breaks.
- Besides an excursion to Entrevaux, tuition and activities are reserved for the 50+ student only and no other student may be included in the group.
- Living accommodations are carefully chosen for their proximity to the school where classes are held. All accomodations are less than 1 kilometer away from the school!
1st week itinerary
Monday 13.30 -16.30 : visit the old town of Nice, see its history and colorful places
Tuesday 13.30 - 18.00 : excursion to Beaulieu and Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, visit to the Kerylos and the Rothschild villas
Wednesday 17.00 - 20.00 : cuisine provençale and wine tasting
Thursday 13.30 - 18.00 : excursion to Cagnes sur Mers, visit to the Renoir museum
Friday afternoon: free time
Saturday 09.00 - 18.00 : excursion to Entrevaux, visit a medieval village
Sunday afternoon : experience classical music at a concert at the Nice opera
2nd week itinerary
Monday afternoon : a guided visit to the Chagall museum
Tuesday 13.30 - 18.00 : excursion to Villefranche sur Mer
Wednesday 18.00 - 20.00 : an evening of Salsa
Thursday 19.30 - 23.00 : dinner in a restaurant with the Alpha.b staff
Friday: Shopping
