Teacher’s Home Language Course - Cork area

Small group courses are ideal for you if you are really motivated, yet do not have a lot of time to study.
This training guarantees a maximum amount of progress in a short amount of time. Courses are organized in a seminar style with a maximum of 6 students.
The course will help you develop your general English skills in several key areas, including conversation, listening, reading and grammar.
The intensive course option also offers a business option.

The overall objective of this program is to make rapid progress in the language, with special emphasis on improving oral ability. As always, students play an active role in family life, joining in on conversation at mealtimes, meeting new people and experiencing the culture of the country.

Lesson Length : 60 min.
Class size : 4 max.
Minimum level required : Pre-intermediate to Advanced

Age : 14 - 16 years
Course : Monday to Friday

Supplementary fee(s) : High season fees 130€ per week (for 1 week - from 22 December 2024 to 04 January 2025).

Immersion programme in a mini-group of 2 weeks:
You share a teacher with 3 other participants with the same language level as you.
Accommodation with the teacher or a family living nearby in a double room.
The programme includes per week :
10 language lessons + 10 hours of general activities + 5 hours of supervised personal work.
The 2-week module also includes an excursion (depending on where the teacher lives).

Learn English in your teacher’s home in a small group of 4 students.
A great opportunity to make new friends and achieve your language goals through group lessons, interaction and activities, guided and accompanied by an experienced host teacher.
This two week programme includes:
• 10h lessons & 10h activities per week
• 5h supervised homework per week
• 1 Saturday Excursion

Sunday: Arrival and Welcome Dinner
Monday: Zoo-Fota Wildlife Park & Picnic
Tuesday: Exploration of local town (including Castle & riverwalk)
Wednesday: Zipit (Zip wire)
Thursday: Snooker/Pool
Friday: Family Games
Saturday: Visit Cobh town (including the Titanic Experience, Cobh Cathedral & a walk on the Promenade)
Week 2
Sunday: Bowling
Monday: Making a traditional Irish Meal
Tuesday: English Market
Wednesday: Working Farm Visit
Thursday: Beach Trip
Friday: Mountain Walk
Saturday: Departure
