This program is recommended for those who wish to learn a language and also be able to do other activities. Improve your communication skills through application in a variety of everyday situations. This course enables you to improve your grammatical knowledge, your vocabulary and your pronunciation.
The standard general course is suitable for those who want to learn or improve a language, while having the opportunity to practice it everyday in the country where it is spoken.
A standard course is generally less than 22 hours a week.

Founded in 1992, Tamwood's Vancouver English center is a medium-sized school with very high standards and a personal approach for its adult language students .
Tamwood's Vancouver English school is 2 minutes from Vancouver's main Robson Street shopping district, and a 5 minute walk or a short bus ride from live theater, concerts, museums, art galleries, several of the city's finest beaches and the world famous Stanley Park.

The host family provides basic information on how to function in Canada such as: how to use the bus system to go to and from school, where to. shop,and how to get to such places as the local library, the neighborhood recreation centre and the nearest pharmacy. 4 students maximum per homestay. Shared homestay is for students travelling together
