General English + Business English (Leeds in England)

This program offers the student both general English language courses and courses in English used frequently in a business setting.
The main objective of this program is to help students understand English, and improve their ability to communicate with confidence, especially within a business situation.
This course introduces key business concepts, while allowing students to develop practical skills within real business scenarios such as presentations, negotiations, telephone conversations, meetings and discussions. This is a specialized language program that caters to your professional needs!

Come to study English in a vibrant, modern city surrounded by spectacular countryside, such as the Yorkshire Dales – a wonderful area to go walking in. Leeds is also a great place from which to visit other famous northern English cities, such as Manchester and Liverpool.

Students follow the Standard General English course in the mornings and take the Business English option three afternoons per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The Business English option is designed for students who wish to improve their communicative proficiency in a business environment.
It can be tailored to meet the needs of any particular group of students and focuses primarily on the specialised language of Business English in the following contexts:
- Meetings and Negotiations
- Socialising and Travel
- Oral and Written presentations
- Analysing figures/ describing trends
- Sales/ marketing/advertising
- Understanding cultural differences
- Oral and written communications (telephone, faxes, e-mails etc.)
If you have any particular areas of Business English that you particularly need to focus on, the course may, under certain circumstances, be adapted to accommodate these.

Minimum 4 weeks. Campus Living Village self-catering student residence is a 10 minute walk from CES Leeds. Each flat has 5 lockable bedrooms which share a communal kitchen-diner. All bedrooms are comfortable and bright with an en-suite bathroom. They come with shelves, drawers and a handy bookcase for all your notes and textbooks, as well as a spacious wardrobe.
