BABILONIA is situated in the heart of Taormina, Sicily’s most world known town.
The atmosphere in Taormina is very peaceful and relaxed. Taormina is located high atop Mount Tauro, just above the Bay of Naxos. The magnificent Mediterranean-blue bay and the not so distant, often smouldering Mount Etna offer a spectacular view which can be seen from almost any point in Taormina.

Babilonia Pedagogy

All teachers at BABILONIA are university graduates and many speak at least one or two other foreign languages. Most have studied foreign languages at university and abroad and all have been trained to teach Italian as a foreign language in order to conform to the teaching methodology and teaching philosophy at BABILONIA.
All of our teachers have gotten the second level DILS Certification in Didactics of Italian as Foreign Language by the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

Courses and prices Babilonia

Babilonia Combined Course - Ages +18 years

This program combines group language courses in the morning that encourage students to interact and help a student to improve practical communication skills. The individual language classes in the afternoon allow you to concentrate on your areas of weakness and on things that interest you personally.

Babilonia Standard Course - Ages +18 years

This program is recommended for those who wish to learn a language and also be able to do other activities. Improve your communication skills through application in a variety of everyday situations. This course enables you to improve your grammatical knowledge, your vocabulary and your pronunciation.
The standard general course is suitable for those who want to learn or improve a language, while having the opportunity to practice it everyday in the country where it is spoken.
A standard course is generally less than 22 hours a week.

Babilonia Intensive Course - Ages +18 years

Both the standard and intensive language course increase your general knowledge of the language, and allow you to acquire everyday communication skills. The intensive language course is great for those who prefer a more focused and intensive environment in which to learn a language.
An intensive course is generally more than 22 hours a week.

Babilonia Italian + Italian Cooking and Wines - Ages +18 years

This course combines classes on Italian language, general language comprehension and learning about Italian cuisine and wine from both a theoretical and a practical point of view. This is a great linguistic and cultural program!
