Teacher Training Program (Honolulu in United States)

This is a refresher course for foreign language teachers that also provides an opportunity for teachers to enrich their knowledge of the language by having direct contact with the culture of the country, and interaction with fellow teachers from other countries.

Practice and enjoy using English in a friendly environment provided by our general English course. As our most popular program, we offer classes for every English learner. All levels cover reading, writing, listening, & speaking with a focus on communication.

Teacher Training Program - ICC HAWAII Teacher Training Certificate (CELTA) 40 lessons per week (40:00 hours)

ICC is the only location in Hawaii, and one of only 10 locations in the U.S., that is an authorized Cambridge University Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) provider.
The CELTA is a full-time, 4-week (40 hours/week) introductory course for candidates who have little or no previous English language or teaching experience.
Application Procedures and Entry Requirements
Applicants must: :

  • Submit an application form
  • Be older than 20
  • Complete an entrance exam and interview
  • Have competence in English, both written and spoken, that would allow them to successfully complete the course
  • Maintain full attendance on the course

$25 “English Only Deposit” to be paid in cash the first day at school.
Every time that you speak a language other than English at ICC, or on ICC activities and events, a violation will be noted on this form.
A $5 fine will be deducted from your $25 English Only deposit for each violation.
Student visa required.

The next season rates would be effective from the 1st of October

Its prime location is only a 15-20 minute walk to the school and the world famous waikiki beach. This residence is mainly dedicated to seniors and located in the heart of Waikiki. It’s just walking distance to many shops, restaurants and nigh-life. You will also find yourself only walking distance to Waikiki Beach. Each room is equipped with a table, TV, internet connection, air conditioning, hair dryer, iron, private bathroom and kitchenette. Sheets and towels are provided. Check-out Cleaning Fee : $190. If you do not book airport transfers expect $ 55 of moving expenses.
