QUALITY TEACHING
Our teachers are native-speakers or of a native-speaker standard and are trained and supported by our senior academic managers. They are recruited for their interest, energy and enthusiasm, making
lessons engaging and motivating for all young learners.
Our courses are designed to be enjoyable, as well as educational, because learning should be fun.
Our enthusiastic teachers use communication, games and activities to make the lessons more appealing to our younger students.
LAL has written its own young learner course books called Round the World. Designed to appeal specifically to young learners and teenagers, the books feature modern, stimulating materials using a variety of methods to ensure fast progression.

The program includes 20 lessons per week, 5 half-days of visits and activities per week and 1 full day of weekend excursions.
Classes are oriented towards oral expression, with role plays, discussions and written works.
The overall program includes:

  • language courses
  • residence accommodation
  • teaching material
  • weekday activity program and weekend excursion
  • transfer from Cape Town International Airport

A quality campus residence only 200 metres from the ocean where the residence is on the same property as the school which is convenient as students do not have to travel to school each day. Bedrooms are spacious dormitories with 4 beds and shared or private bathrooms. The campus is secure with 24-hour security and a responsible LAL staff member at all times. Campus facilities include free wi-fi, a swimming pool, garden area, internet room and student lounge with indoor games.
