This exam is considered more difficult than the FCE, and estimates language level within language contexts.
To pass the CAE, candidates generally need to study the language for approximately two years after obtaining the FCE.
It is the second hardest of five Cambridge examinations.
The Cambridge examinations measure the capabilities of the candidate in general English. They are recognized by most international employers. Once successfully completed, it indicates a C1 high intermediate language level to European Council, and allows you to take the CPE.
