Our prestigious school, Oxford House, is located in thebeautiful and tranquil village of Wheatley.
Perfectly situated on the village’s main street. The school is right next to many local shops, cafés/restaurants and pubs.
Wheatley provides a friendly and safe environment in which students can study English.
Wheatley is just a short and easy 20 minute bus journey from the centre of Oxford city.
The famous scenic region of The Cotswolds is within close proximity.

There is an activity evening organised by the school each week which has in the past included:

  • Tennis, swimming and golf (all available locally)


The school is open most evenings during the week and students often organise their own events. A favorite activity is for students of one nationality to cook some of their national dishes for the other students to try. Table tennis, pool (billiards), watching a DVD or just enjoying a coffee with friends in our beautiful garden are also popular activities.

Several activities, such as parties, movie nights, international quiz nights and indoor games at the school, are free of charge. Others, such as cinema, theatre and concert visits, sports evenings and weekend excursions, involve extra cost.
