The FCE is the examination the most known and the most taken at the international level. It is a qualification of choice for every person who wants to work or to study abroad. It demonstrates an intermediate language level.
This exam gives people who take it the possibility of communicating fluently in a professional or academic environment on everyday topics.
It is the third hardest of five Cambridge examinations.
The Cambridge examinations measure the candidate’s general English capacities. They are recognized by most international employers. Once passed, this exam demonstrates a B2 language level (intermediate) to the European Council, and allows you take the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) examination.

Course description

Includes 5 tests:

  • Written comprehension (1hour and 15 minutes) 1st day, in the morning
  • Written expression (1hour and 30 minutes) 1st day, in the morning
  • Mastery of English (1 hour and 15 minutes) 1st day, in the afternoon
  • Oral comprehension (40 minutes) 1st day, in the afternoon
  • Oral expression (15 minutes) 2nd day

The oral and written tests do not take place the same day.

  • Length :

    2 days (4 hours and 40 minutes the first day and 15 minutes the second day)

  • The FCE estimates the level and ability of participants to communicate in a written and oral context.
